Personal Training
On The Moor.
I coach 1-2-1 out of The Gym Group on The Moor, right in the middle of Sheffield city centre. Open 24 hours, so sessions fit round early starts, late finishes and split shifts rather than the other way round.
The Gym Group, The Moor
81a The Moor, Sheffield, S1 4PF
Hours: Open 24 hours, 7 days a week, access via keyfob or app.
- Free weights area, cardio & resistance machines, functional training zone
- Open 24 hours, genuinely useful if you work shifts
- Changing rooms, lockers & free Wi-Fi
- No on-site parking, pay & display bays close by
Who Trains Here
Mostly people who work in the city centre or on The Moor itself, plus students at both universities, who get a reduced student rate. If you can walk here on a lunch break or straight after a shift, this is the one.
- Retail and hospitality staff working The Moor and Fargate
- Office workers in and around the city centre
- Students at Sheffield Hallam and the University of Sheffield, ten minutes’ walk from City Campus, student rates here
- Anyone on the tram or bus routes into town
An Hour,
Not Fifty Minutes.
Every 1-2-1 session here is a full hour. We start with a free assessment: your goals, training history, injuries and schedule, before any programming happens. Your first paid session covers a movement and strength baseline so I know exactly where to start you.
After that it's your programme: technique work, progressive loading, and nutrition guidance that fits how you actually eat. No template, no fitness test to pass, and no upsell halfway through.

Do I need a Gym Group membership?
Yes. You need your own membership to train here, and it is separate from what you pay me. It is a no-contract monthly membership, so you can start and stop it as you like. If you would rather not join, I can coach you at Muscle Performance in Wadsley Bridge on a day pass instead, or come to you on a home visit.
Can I train before or after work?
That is most of what I do here. The gym is open 24 hours, so early mornings before a shift and late evenings after one are both fine. Tell me your rota and I will build the week around it.
Where do I park?
There is no on-site parking. There are pay & display bays on the surrounding streets and the Q-Park on Charter Row is a short walk. Most people I coach here arrive on foot, tram or bus.
How much is it?
A 4-session kickstart is £, monthly PT starts at £, and blocks work out cheaper per session. Everything is listed on the packages page. The first consultation is free either way.
Do you run group classes here too?
Yes. Coached small-group classes run every weekend at this gym: Booty Builder, Hybrid Circuit and Learn To Lift. See the classes timetable.
